Day 27 - Three types of Relationships

There are 3 types of  relationships

Life Giving Relationship - This is a relationship which brings you a little life and excitement. This could be a one night stand that leaves a smile on your face, or a 2 year relationship which brings you out of a slump.

Life Time Relationship - This is the relationship every one hopes to be true when they walk down the isle on their wedding day. You will be together for the rest of your lives.

Purposeful Relationship - This is a relationship in which 80% of our population engage. These relationships are brought to you for a purpose. The purpose of the relationship could be to have children, learn boundaries, build a business, find your voice, talents or gifts. Once the purpose has been fulfilled the relationship will take a turn. Here is where many people experience stress and turmoil because they want to hold on and force it to be a lifetime relationship when it’s not.

You’re spouse having an affair may or may not indicate which category your marriage falls into. But when making the decision to stay in a marriage after an affair has taken place, it is in your best interest to ask yourself many questions. The questions will not be easy to answer but if you do some soul searching and listen to your inner wisdom, you will likely see which relationship type you are and become clear on whether to stay or go.

Relationships are stressful, no matter which way you look at it - in an interview with Lisa Nichols she stated, that whenever a relationship (whether intimate or friendship) ends, is not to look at the relationship as a break-up but to look at what you both came out of the relationship with! Neither one of you, are actually broken! Your relationship has completed!  You must both take positives from the relationship - look at what you're taking from the relationship to make you a better person, for the next relationship. NOT ALL RELATIONSHIPS ARE MEANT TO LAST!  If all relationships lasted, you your life would definitely be overflowing when you are 80-something. But you wouldn't have time to nurture EVERY relationship! Could you imagine? Let's have 5 billion friends on facebook, and see if you ever get a chance to get around to even 100 of them on a regular basis. 

I complete my day, reminding myself of the amazing life that I have been blessed with! The wonderful relationships that I have come across. I am happily depositing my million dollar royalties into my bank accounts. I am joyously celebrating the relationship with a wonderful, nurturing, and caring husband and father of my beautiful amazing children. I am extremely blessed!
